Free Market Cannibalism
Free Market Cannibalism continues a lineage of adopting the absurd into performance or sculpture to make commentary on societal issues. Working with a sculptural interpretation of a hot dog vendor cart, Bigley will act out the adage, “Laws are like sausages: It’s better not to see them being made.” Sausages are made using paper pulp from shredded documents from Supreme Court Rulings that strengthen corporate power to influence so-called free and fair elections thus further solidifying the strong hold of the ideology of free market capitalism. Viewers will be offered to take free legislative sausages with them.
